Frame My Future Scholarship Contest 2012 - Win Money for College!

For the fifth consecutive year, Church Hill Classics (CHC), which operates online as diplomaframe.com and is a leading custom diploma frame manufacturer, has been named by Inc. Magazine to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies across the nation.  This year, CHC is one of five Connecticut companies, and one of 138 of the total 5000 companies named, to make the list six times or more.

“Making the Inc. 5000 list for the fifth consecutive year is very meaningful, especially in celebrating Church Hill Classics’ 20th year in business,” stated Lucie Voves, president of Church Hill Classics. “The challenges of the economy notwithstanding, we are focused as always on exemplary customer service, introducing new options and customizations such as colored embossing and framing to coordinate with home and office décor, and keeping the quality of our products on a high plateau.”

As noted by Inc. 5000, Church Hill Classics’ three-year revenue growth from 2007 to 2010 was 5%. Revenue grew from $5.9 million in 2007 to $6.2 million in 2010. The companies that were ranked this year had a growth of 40,882% down to 2%.

Church Hill Classics was ranked 243 in the Consumer Products & Services Industry category. Overall, CHC ranked 4,927 nationally for America’s fastest-growing companies across all industries.

According to an article by Bob Stanton posted on the Inc.500/5000 site on August 23, 2011, “The 2011 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2007 through 2010. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2007. Additionally, they had to be based in the United States, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2010. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.)”

Mr. Stanton’s article added that, “The minimum revenue required for 2007 is $100,000; the minimum for 2010 is $2 million. Revenue figures given in the company profiles are for calendar years…”

Church Hill Classics is also one of 66 Connecticut companies on the Inc. 5000 list this year.  CHC is a company with diversity as well. Of all the “diversity” categories counted by Inc. 5000, “female entrepreneur” has the largest piece of the pie with 51.8%.

He is planning to attend San Jose State University in San Jose, California for the 2011-2012 academic year. Onur currently attends Bear River High School in Grass Valley, California.

Establishing this nationwide scholarship contest has enabled the company to give back to students interested in pursuing their dreams of a college education. The “Frame My Future” Scholarship Contest 2011 asked students to submit an original “creation” through an image which expressed what they hope to achieve in their personal and professional life after college. Entries included photographs, poems, essays, collages, drawings, paintings, and other imaginative pieces. The entry needed to communicate: This is how I “Frame My Future.”  Submissions were accepted from October 7, 2010, through March 2, 2011.

The contest received an amazing response with over 9,500 entries. Entries, coming in from every state in the U.S., were sent in by students who will be attending college in the 2011-2012 academic year. The unbelievable amount of individual, creative, and quality entries made the selection process very difficult. CHC employees made the Finalist selection in a company-wide voting process, which yielded 24 Finalists and 30 Honorable Mentions.  The finalists were placed online for public vote from April 5th - May 5th.  The public’s votes decided the five $1,000 Scholarship Winners, including the one Grand Prize Winner.

This was the third annual “Frame My Future” Scholarship Contest, and Church Hill Classics is planning to launch its fourth scholarship contest in the fall of 2011. Students are encouraged to view the 2011 Winners’ and Finalists’ entries on the CHC website, at http://contests.diplomaframe.com/Contests/FrameMyFutureContest/Winners.aspx and to consider submitting an entry in next year’s contest.  You can sign up to receive information about next year’s scholarship by filling out this online form: http://www.diplomaframe.com/ScholarshipInformation.cfm

Lucie Voves, president of Church Hill Classics, was selected from over 5,000 submissions to be featured as one of 365 quotes in The 2011 Woman’s Advantage Shared Wisdom Calendar. The calendar provides advice on each day of the year for women business owners from influential women leaders across the US and Canada.

The Woman's Advantage Shared Wisdom Calendar

It was announced that Lucie Voves’ advice had been included in the calendar, which was released on October 1, by Mary Cantando, president and growth expert of WomanBusinessOwner.com and author of the book, The Woman’s Advantage.

“Lucie Voves’ quote was selected because it was powerful yet easy to understand. Her idea is relevant to almost every woman in business today,” says Cantando.

She added, “Women business owners and those who dream of starting a business will learn so much from the advice provided by Lucie and the other successful women quoted in the calendar.”

The Woman’s Advantage 2011 Calendar provides sound bites of advice on key business issues including: organization, promotion, sales, and human resources.

A special presentation of The Woman’s Advantage “Quote of the Day” and calendar cover from the new 2011 calendar, or from 2010, are featured in customized, USA-made photo frames from Church Hill Classics. These frames are offered in cooperation with The Woman’s Advantage, and make a perfect gift for the women featured, as well as all women in business.

Photo frames are custom made to showcase a selected calendar honoree’s quote, and are ready for display upon delivery. Each frame comes with an engraved gold or silver plate set into museum-quality matting with a variety of frame moulding choices, including hardwood in espresso satin finish, deep mahogany, or cherry, to fit any office decor. Frames are available for customization and purchase on Church Hill Classics’ website at http://www.diplomaframe.com/other/twad.

About Lucie Voves

Lucie Voves, founder and president of Church Hill Classics (CHC), has taken the company from a home-based business in 1991 into a thriving custom insignia frame and gift manufacturer with a national customer base of colleges, universities, professional associations, military branches, Greek organizations, and corporations.

Cornell University bookstore’s Kelley Foster (The Cornell Store) said in a recent email, “Church Hill Classics has come up with another fantastic idea in using vibrant school colors in matting and embossing choices.  We are taking advantage of this fresh approach to showcase Cornell University diplomas with red matting and black embossing.  It looks really sharp! Winning Colors adds an extra dimension to our selection of diploma frames.”

With the introduction of Winning Colors, college name and seal embossings on diploma frame matting has taken on a whole new turn at Church Hill Classics (CHC). The company, which operates online as diplomaframe.com, has given school spirit a novel twist with embossing colors of orange, green, yellow, red, navy, or black, on matting combinations that best suits ones’ school.

Silver and gold foil embossings are fundamental shades with that classic appeal, but the rich and vivid Winning Colors embossing from Church Hill Classics are definitely revving up the wow factor, especially for dedicated grads and alumni.

Winning Colors embossing options are matched with compatible matting colors so that Princeton University, for instance, has a black outer mat paired with a bright orange inner mat and orange embossing to complement the school colors of orange and black. For Michigan State University, green and white are the school colors, so green embossing is the perfect choice placed on a black mat. The whole line of Winning Colors is framed in Eclipse – a solid hardwood frame moulding with black satin finish and a high gloss inner lip.

“Church Hill continues to lead the diploma frame category with meaningful new products and innovation.  Winning Colors is the latest example of how we’ve taken customer feedback and channeled it into something unique and exciting,” commented Joe Voves, vice president of CHC.

BREAKING NEWS: The unemployed are waiting in line to take your job, you better be at your peak – or you may be replaced.

A great way to stay on-top-of-your-game is using the new inexpensive energy mixer, 5150 Energy.  This Energy Mix offers enough liquid caffeine to create six unique energy beverages.  Not only do you create your own energy drink to your liking (both in flavor and energy strength), you save lots of money.

One ounce of 5150 Energy (aka Crazy Juice) can create as many as six energy drinks, each with 83 milligrams of caffeine in each beverage (83 mg of caffeine is equivalent to one cup of premium coffee, or one Red Bull energy drink).  Those needing a major energy boost can use half of the bottle, or the entire bottle can be used at once to create that much-needed buzz.

Energy drink fanatics also can mix 5150 Energy with any beverage, including soda, grape juice, tomato juice, champagne, beer, tequila, rum, and malt liquor.

“Some people even mix it with water so they can keep their cost down,” said 5150 Energy sales manager Anita Eileen.  “What our customers keep saying is that they love how they can legally boost their energy levels with the drink of their choice.”

A rarity in the market, 5150 Energy is also deliberately priced as one of the lowest-cost energy options.  The energy mix is priced lower than most commercially-prepared mochas (one bottle only cost about $1.50).  And in this economy, which 1 in 7 Americans are living in poverty, you cannot afford to be wasting money on brand-name energy drinks (Monster, Rockstar, 5 Hour Energy, Full Throttle, Redline, 6 Hour, Amp, Jolt, Nos, Red Bull, SoBe, Vitamin Water, etc).
